Privacy notice

This notice covers genfixnairobi.com. It is short because this site does very little with your data: it has one form, one analytics tag you have to agree to, and nothing else.

Analytics, and the cookie you have to agree to first

We use Google Analytics to see which pages people actually find useful, because writing more of what helps is the only sensible way to improve this site.

No analytics cookie is set unless you accept it. Analytics storage starts in a denied state on every visit, and the only thing that changes it is you pressing Accept on the banner. If you decline, or simply ignore it, no analytics cookie is ever written and we see nothing about your visit. Your choice is remembered in your own browser so we stop asking.

Advertising signals are denied permanently. There is no code path on this site that can turn them on, we do not run remarketing, and we do not build advertising audiences from your visit. Your IP address is anonymised before Google stores it.

There are no other trackers: no tag manager, no social pixels, no session recording, no heatmaps, no chat widget. Besides analytics, the only third-party request any page makes is to Google Fonts for the typefaces.

What the enquiry form collects

Only what you type into it: your name, your email address, optionally your phone number, the area of Nairobi you are in, what you need, and your description of the problem. Nothing is pre-filled and nothing is inferred.

Our server also records the IP address the enquiry came from and the time it arrived. That is used to identify automated spam and nothing else.

Where it goes

Your enquiry is written to a file on our own server first, then emailed to a single internal address that reaches the business owner. Writing it down before sending is deliberate: it means an enquiry cannot be lost if our mail provider is unavailable. We do not publish that address on this site, to keep it out of the hands of the automated scrapers that harvest addresses from web pages.

We do not sell it, share it with other businesses, add it to a marketing list, or send you anything you did not ask for. We use it to answer your enquiry.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while they are useful for answering you and for our own records of work quoted and done, and are deleted when they are not.

Your choices

Use the contact form and ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, for it to be corrected, or for it to be deleted, and we will do it. Put "data request" in the details box so it is not mistaken for a generator enquiry. You do not have to give a reason, and we will reply to the email address you provide.
